Hickenlooper, what a phoney. The consumate
politician millionaire. During his
campaign farce for Mayor he depicted
himself as a nerd on a moped champion
for the little guy against the monolithic
tax heavy, consumer unfriendly city
government under Webb, Hickenlooper feeding
quarters into expired downtown parking
meters. He should have been driving a
Cadillac and driving over pedestrians
on Denver sidewalks. As a matter of
fact, the champion for the litte guy
has promoted and voted for every taxpayer
boondoggle, tax increase and public works
project to come down the pike since people
bought into his propaganda. Most notably,
Ref C and the new Denver Jail. Ref C the
largest tax increase in Colorado history.
Now what is he foisting on the little guy?

Jim, why did Colorado Confidential yank this article from their website? I think it's a well-written and thought out piece, why would they want to reverse course and take it down?

Colorado Confidential cycles through posts on a daily basis. The Mayor's Bond Magic column should be in the archives. No stories stay up on Colorado Confidential for more than a couple of days.
