Lamborn is what he is, and anyone who has followed Colorado politics for more than last 15 minutes knows that that is. You really have to believe in the tooth fairy, though, to believe that Lamborn - or his campaign organization - allowed a contribution check to sit around for six months (give or take a few weeks) without being deposited. Members of Congress are so desperate for all the money they can get that you would expect Lamborn to have deposited the check the day it came in, just so the donor couldn't change his mind.

On a related subject, Jim, we know that neither party has a monopoly on integrity or dishonesty. It always seems to be the Republicans, though, who fall into the trap of claiming moral superiority. Then, when they take off their shoes and socks and display their feet of clay, it is the hypocrisy that does them in rather than the original transgression. So tell us, what is a "family values" voter or candidate?

Define it for me...Edwards recently came out against sub prime mortgages, yet was heavily invested in Fortress that backed Greentree. He talks about 2 Americas, yet plants his money in an offshore tax shelter. He advises Americans not to own SUV's yet travels in a a private jet and owns 2 SUV's and a pick up. Not to mention his 28,000 sq ft. home. Hilary receives donations, as her husband did, from straw donors.... It is enough to make my head explode, yet I keep hearing about this crap against the Republican party...Am I alone here?

Jim prides him self on finding and exposing so called "Christian hypocrisy".... He doesn't care about the good that Christianity does around the world and would never mention it in a column. He has an agenda and if it fits the agenda he will write about it, if it doesn't fall into his scheme then he will not. It is so much of a mission for him that he fails to notice other forms of hypocrisy...whether it be environmental, tax or otherwise.... or the good that Christianity does around the world. He definitely has an agenda, that includes bashing Christians....AND NOBODY CAN DENY THAT HIS LACK OF COMMENTATION ON DEMOCRAT SCANDAL INDICATES THAT HE IS IN THE POCKET OF SOMEONE.... Yet I keep coming back...........

Write an article about secular hypocrisy...it will never happen because you are a Christian bigot.......people,whatever their beliefs are the same.. a person that happens to be a Christian could be as unsavory as a Jew, a heretic, a Muslim, a guy that fucks squirrels or whatever..........yet you focus on Christians. Why? .sorry, I like you and it is hard for me to say it...

"No idea said..." No idea has no idea. He/she does give us the right-wing rant in response to Jim's efforts to discuss. There was no attack on Christianity, whatsoever. There was discussion of hypocrisy. No Idea should read and think before writing. Or, perhaps his/her screen name is appropriate?

According to Wikipedia Edwards was not aware Fortress had Greentree. He divested from Greentree when he found out.I haven't a clue why Fortress is in the Caiman islands. Maybe they didn't want to go all the way to Switzerland.
The Gops have their Rush Limbaughs and Ann Coulters who have made a nice living out of bashing Dems, pointing their fingers and airing the dirty laundry. The rest of us have Jim.
It is not the crimes of the GOPS, it is their holier than thou hyprocrisy. It's been a looong 6 and 3/4 years for those of us who did not vote for the current administration, watching them destroy our beloved country, kill our young people in Iraq, stifle free speech, and saddle our country with debts for at least the next 50 years. For crying out loud, we can't even vote anymore without standing in line for at least two hours. And then we don't know if the machine is going to count it right.

It's not that Jim has no idea or that i have no idea for that matter....think about making a mountain out of a mole hill over a $1500 check merely because the person is Republican.....and than twisting and turning in the wind to protect your own hypocritical matters......that is all I'm saying.

Edwards left Fortress in December of 2006 right when the subprime market started to crash. He left because he was running for president. Fortress was heavily involved in subprime investments. He did not leave for altruistic matters....Just has he asks us not to drive SUVs but has 2 and a pick up and lives in a 28000 sq ft home. He is just as hypocritical as you describe the right wing Christians to be...Different strokes for different folks....

Wildflower,
I had to come back to this, because your stupidity is maddening. Think about it, a smart man running for president who happens to be vice president of a hedgefund and has invested 16 Million dollars and has received hundreds of thousands of dollars for his campaign knows the activities of the company. JIM? DO YOU BELIEVE

To No Idea (understatement of the century), I tried to explain in simple terms that you might understand, there are many frustrated people in this country because of the current political climate, this is why it is so refreshing to hear Jim's point of view.
"But there is none so blind ....."
So far as my academic credentials, reminds me of a B grade Dolly Parton film. When she was asked what university she went to she said simply " Screw U"
Have a nice day.
