While this was supposedly a "taxpayer" event, why isn't the Republican National Committee and the persons involved, even Bush himself, the ones who have to pick up the tab on these things? Go goodness sake, keeping the people out of the event was close to assault and/or kidnapping. As for the "booklet", is there any wonder more and more citizens are looking outside our borders to call home? Thank GOD the current regime is almost at it's end. Too bad it's not closer, I fear what our country will be when they exit. The U.S.A has starte to be a paper tiger with no respect within our without our borders.

I agree that these people should not have been removed. Dissent is essential in our society. But let's see how you react to the future when "protestors" crash Hillary's events calling her husband a rapist. Unsavory yes, but so is calling for the killing of the President in the "planting a Bush" wish..obviously a reference to putting Bush 6 feet under...
Hate mongers Jim?

I attended the March 2005 event. Thankfully, the Bush thugs did not see my anti-Bush bumper stickers and block my entrance. I had tickets from Bob Beauprez's office and wore a coat and tie to see this embarrassing propaganda piece. The 3 or 4 blacks in the audience had been brought on stage positioned behind Bush for the TV cameras. The "questions" being asked by preselected folks were over-rehearsed like an elementary school play. The costs of this sad, phony event should be reimbursed by the Republican party. The taxpayers should not pay either for the event itself or for the lawsuits caused by it.

The Denver 3 are to be commended for sticking with this until an admission of wrong-doing is obtained. All of us who wish to retain our civil liberties owe them a heartfelt "thank you".

I agree the taxpayers shouldn't have to foot the tab. I also think we shouldn't have to foot the tab for those partisan flights. How many millions did it cost every time he flew to one of these GOP campaign fests?
